I understand robots as more than technical machines. As social robots increasingly enter human society, they begin to function as social actors that participate in shaping norms, relationships, and everyday practices. I'm interested in exploring how the presence of social robots may challenge taken-for-granted norms and reform social relationships.
My current work explores two related areas: (1) how social robots may provide new possibilities of pedagogical relationship configurations in educational settings, and (2) how social robots may create a unique relational space for children’s storytelling and narrative construction.
If you are interested, I am open to collaboration!
🌱 Secondary Research Areas: Technology for Dementia, Technology for Mental Support, Robots in Family
👣 Additional Research Interests: Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental Psychology (Lifespan Development)
When I was 18, I chose psychology as my major out of curiosity about how neuroscience explains depression. While I am still fascinated by the neural mechanisms behind behavior, I became more drawn to exploring how technology can create tangible, observable changes that positively contribute to people's lifelong development.
